FPA Hardware Specifications

 

Network Server:

  • Intel Pentium III or greater Processor or comparable

  •  1 Gigabyte Ram

  • 40 Gigabytes SATA or SCSI Hard Drive

  • Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows 2003,Windows 2008, or Peer-to-Peer (3 workstations or less)

  •  Mouse

  • 1 CD-RW Drive

  • 56K+ modem (not required if you have high-speed internet)

  •  Battery backup  

Workstations, Peer to Peer Server, or Single-User:

  • Intel Pentium III or greater Processor or comparable

  • 512 Megabytes Ram

  •  10 Gigabyte Hard Drive

  • Mouse

  •  1 CD-RW Drive

  • 56K+ modem (not required if you have high-speed internet)

  •  Battery backup

  •  Operating System – Windows NT, Millennium, 2000, XP Professional, or Vista.

       * Serial port is required, if computer is attached to a scale house indicator.

           

Backup:

  •  Purchase backup system recommended by your hardware vendor.

Printers:

  •  Laser Jet and/or Ink Jet.  The system WILL NOT work with dot matrix          printers.

 

Additional Required Software:

  • Pervasive.SQL Version 10 (included with single-user version at no additional cost).  The server version of Pervasive should be installed by your hardware technician. 

           

Communications Software:

  •  If you have a high-speed internet connection, we typically use Show My PC (free communications software)

  •  PcAnywhere – Recommended if no high-speed internet connection

  • Other existing communications software such as Citrix, Remote Desktop, or Terminal Services, etc. may also be used.
